Supergoop! has done it again with the launch of Triple Prep—a daily facial moisturizer that supports the skin barrier while providing an easy SPF 40. Triple Prep isn’t Supergoop’s first SPF moisturizing product—in fact, it is the brand’s twelfth lotion, following in the footsteps of fan favorites such as Superscreen, Every. Single. Face. and PLAY.
With so many phenomenal facial moisturizers already existing within the brand—my initial thoughts were, why this one? Why yet another SPF moisturizer? And as a college student on a budget: What could this product offer that makes it worth a whopping $48.00? After reading Supergoop’s description of Triple Prep and trying it out myself, I soon realized that Triple Prep was unlike any other SPF moisturizer I had ever tried before.
According to Supergoop, Triple Prep is infused with hydrating ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, ectoin, and glycerin. It also contains niacinamide—a vitamin that works with the natural elements of your skin to improve uneven skin tone, minimize pores, and even soften fine lines and wrinkles. These skin care properties aren’t just words on a package—I actually felt the effects upon use almost instantly.
As I applied Triple Prep to my face, my face immediately felt rejuvenated and plumped with moisture. The moisturizer has a fluffy, cloud-like texture that melts into the skin. Texture-wise, the moisturizer felt lighter upon application, in contrast with the many heavy-feeling moisturizers on the current market. It blended into my skin beautifully and left no white cast. All in all, it felt like a high-end moisturizer that happened to have SPF 40.
I put my everyday makeup on over the sunscreen, and I’m happy to report that there was no pilling or residual sunscreen texture. It acted almost like a primer in that it was a smooth base for my makeup application. It also created a brightening effect with a soft natural glow. Overall, I give Supergoop’s Triple Prep a 10/10 and think it’s a must-have product for anyone looking for a winter moisturizer or just an extra dose of SPF.
