After studying business at College of Charleston, I immersed myself in learning the science of skin and treatments to maintain proper skin health. Specializing in tailoring customized facials, Vibradermabrasion, HydraFacial, chemical peels, and medical grade microneedling technologies, including SkinPen Precision, my passion for sharing the best in skin care shows with each treatment customized to my client’s individual needs. I expanded my expertise in aesthetics by becoming a CoolSculpting technician, a Certified Xtreme Lash Stylist and a microblading artist. My goal is to enhance the beauty and confidence of everyone I meet in my treatment room.
What makes you successful in your career?
I feel that my always wanting to do and be better at what I do makes me successful. I look at myself as a work in process. I am constantly trying to learn new things and improve my craft. I often ask myself, “What could I do better to provide a better experience to my clientele? What are others doing? How do I improve my weaknesses?” I’m also very personable so people find me easy to relate to and be comfortable with. Oh, and I love what I do, so that makes a world of difference. I guess this philosophy works as I was voted Best Esthetician in the Post & Courier’s 2018 Reader Choice Awards.
What advice would you offer women with similar goals?
Be your best, do your best and never stop trying to be better. If they underestimate you, prove them wrong. Show yourself what you’re capable of when you put forth your best effort. Take failures mindfully but consider thinking of them as constructive learning opportunities. You gained knowledge and skills from that experience and will succeed in the future for that same effort. Rome wasn’t built in one day and neither is your career.
