Galentine’s Day Brunch

It takes two, or maybe three or four. February is the month of partnerships, husbands & wives, close friends; whoever makes you feel special. So when you tell your friends, “let’s do a brunch in the backyard to celebrate Galentine’s Day,” not only do they show up, but they help with every last detail! With all the fun events and parties we’ve done in the past, nothing would get done without the input and ideas of the lovely ladies above. Don’t get me wrong, we all love to cozy up to that special someone. However, friends deserve just as much love and admiration for dealing with our craziness day in and day out. gal brunchgal brunch 5

We set up in my backyard, brought the dining room table outside, and created our own little oasis. Most of the pieces were accumulated over time, either from thrift shops or antique stores. Take a look at a few of our finds in the list below. With a little elbow grease, you can take thrift store finds and turn them into brunch-worthy accessories. Of course, flowers make everything prettier and having a budding floral designer as a best friend has its advantages. We borrowed the floral chandelier, designed by Angela’s boyfriend, Chris, and it felt like we were in fairy tale!

We sat in between the trees, ate our weight in cookies and donuts, dressed in Valentine’s inspired dresses (because, why not?) and drank a questionable amount of champagne infused cocktails for that time of the morning. You could ask “why,” but sometimes you just need to get pretty, throw a party in the backyard, and celebrate each other! Or in the hilarious words of Leslie Knope, “Ovaries before Brovaries.” So get your lady friends together, throw your own “Galentines Day” party, and spread the love!
