What’s in Her Gym Bag?


The essentials and more.


Day in and day out, I carry these essentials with me to lift weights, crank out cardio or get flexi in yoga class. Planning ahead and packing appropriately is important. Don’t get to the gym then skip your workout because you forgot {insert item here}! For me, it is usually socks…

1. The Basics

This is a no brainer; proper footwear, athletic attire, water bottle and a towel are a must. It is important to drink plenty of water before, during and after your workouts. So, don’t forget to hydrate, hydrate, hydrate.


2. The Supplements

Pre-workout boosters and post-workout BCAA drinks are great supplements to maximize energy and recovery before and after the gym. 3.  The Jams – iPod & Headphones

4. The Must Haves

I always pack lifting gloves, Versa Gripps, a weight lifting belt and a yoga mat. Although, my favorite gym accessory is the FitBit HR ($129.95). Tracking my workouts from daily steps taken to heart rate levels on its mobile app keeps me accountable and drives me to beat my best efforts each day.


5. The Plan

To maximize time and energy in the gym, I write workouts down so I know exactly which muscle groups and machines to hit before going.
