I Love Chesapeake Ribbons...

I have a toddler and when she was an infant she didn’t have much hair.  I had a hard time because sometimes people would think she was a boy...so I turned to barrettes.  Barrettes always look cute and help keep her bangs out of her eyes.  Many of them don’t stay put, but the ones at Chesapeake Ribbons do.  Other products include ribbon belts, bows, key fobs and headbands.  Check out this great line of products!

Klean Kanteen

I carry two Klean Kanteens (www.kleankanteen.com) with me everywhere I go; one full of barely sweet Charleston tea and the other water.

The canisters keep my drinks cold (not frigid, but cool) all day, no matter what the thermostat reads-- no kidding. Stainless steel’s happy temperature is somewhere around 60 degrees, so that’s where it stays.

Dating Makes You Want to Die

Dating Makes You Want to Die, by Daniel Holloway and Dorothy Robinson ($11.99, Harper Collins) is a must read! Just think: You have two choices: Be attacked by a wolverine or go on a date If you're smart, you chose wolverine. If not—well, wait, are you sure you don't want the wolverine?

Marathon Skirt

I ran the New York Marathon in this skirt from atalanta sportswear (www.skirtgoddess.com).. I loved it.. It helped me stand out and was super comfortable to run in.. It fit like a glove and there were no issues with chaffing or irritation after 26.2 miles! Best of all, the little side pockets kept my phone and wallet safe during the race! Thanks Atalanta!

I love henna

Henna body art is a passion for me. Along with my daughters who are great artists, we are always hennaing someone . IN fact we nearly always have henna on us anymore. We are careful to use only safe and natural henna. and never use anything that could be dangerous like fake black "henna". We can do something we love and do it together.

Delicious Waffle Ice Cream Sandwiches

Wow last night I had the most delicious waffle ice cream sandwich at the Franklin Fountain in Philadelphia!  Oh, it was amazing. Well, firstly I had to call like 20 minutes in advance so they could have the waffle maker on and ready for my arrival and my fancy order. After a nice dinner, I was totally ready for a dessert, but once we arrived there was a line and I had to wait another 15 minutes until i could put my order in and for them to prepare this delicious dessert.

L'Eau d'Issey

I’ve worn my fair share of fragrances, always searching for my “signature scent”: Sunflowers by Elizabeth Arden, Beautiful Sheer by Estee Lauder, Beyond Paradise by Estee Lauder, Light Blue by Dolce & Gabbana, The One by Dolce & Gabbana, Jessica McClintock by Jessica McClintock, Shi by Alfred Sung, and more . . . but the best perfume, wrists down for proof, is L’Eau d’Issey by Issey Miyake. I have never received more compliments when I spritz this and I don’t think I could ever get sick of it.

Never Judge a Book by Its Cover Is So Passe

My love of the moment comes in the form of a 601 paged paper-back monster known as the 2002 Centennial Edition of John Steinbeck’s “East of Eden.”   And while content ultimately rules, I can’t help but be drawn to the gorgeous antiqued detailing on the cover and the uneven parchment pages.   It makes a gal like myself, who is always drawn into the visual aesthetics of life, happy to tote around a book so big every single day.
