Golf outing

I find it incredibly entertaining watching my husband pack his “stuff” to go out of town. I left work at 6, picked up dinner at Chic-fil-A, stopped by Publix to pick up milk, doggie ice cream, a care package for his trip (how nice is that?) and stopped by the drug store for his cholesterol medicine that he takes every fourth or fifth day. When I arrived home around 7:20 he was busy packing his “stuff”. The insurgents (two 80 lb dogs) met me at the door and quickly sniffed out the stuff in the red and white bag. They got doggie ice cream  instead so we could eat in peace. It’s 11:37 and he just finished packing. What is taking so long? Keep in mind I racked up 100,000 frequent flier miles last year, I never check my bag, I use the hotel provided shampoo and soap, and except for clothes that need to be laundered, I never unpack my suitcase, that way its ready in less than a minute. I reminded my husband that if he discovers he has forgotten something he can always go shopping... maybe that’s why I often come home with an extra suitcase.

(but first I have to say: "doggie ice cream!" I almost accidentally bought some because they put it next to the regular ice cream in the case...YUM!).

I agree with you about traveling light. Especially with all of the security and plastic bags and shoes coming on and off. I never check my bag either and prefer to bring one or 2 outfits that can be mixed/matched (and added to when I shop for the new stuff I'm bringing back with me). I always seem to have that extra shopping bag to carry on for the return trip!
