Is having to decide between necessities and other necessities. I was lucky as a college student that I also had a full-time job with benefits, therefore I didn’t have to decide between paying for my birth control or eating (or filling up the gas tank...or school supplies....). But not everyone is so fortunate.
Because of a legislative error (!), millions of college-age and low-income women have lost access to affordable birth control—they simply can't afford this basic form of health care. Planned Parenthood is working to help resolve this problem and there are currently several bills in play that could make it happen. You can help just by letting your local representative know that this issue is important to you.
