Seeking 5999 Women with Fifty Bucks

We’re super psyched around here that we’ve partnered up with AWWIN, Inc. (A Working Woman In Need) for their “6000 Hand-Up Challenge”.

The idea’s brilliant: 6000 women donate $50 a piece to create a mass of capital that will allow AWWIN to expand its support services for single working women across Georgia, South Carolina, Texas and beyond. AWWIN provides financial assistance, professional development and job placement to help its clients become self-sustaining, empowered women.

The campaign launches this Friday, April 18 at 6pm the Coastal Georgia Center, 305 Fahm St. room 115 in downtown Savannah and will culminate Sept. 12 at AWWIN’s fantabulous ”Top Working Women of the Year” gala event. In between there will be a golf tournament and plenty of reminders from me to open your checkbook to help a sister out!

Sheesh, even I’ve got fifty bucks to give – I’ll just give up Bubble tea for the next three months. So that’s one – 5999 to go! Donate via PayPal here.
