Mother’s Day isn’t until May 11, but it’s not too early to start thinking about it.
Actually, I need to do better than just think about it because I know myself: I’ll think about it all the way until that Sunday morning and realize “oops!”: I got so wrapped up in my own mommy duties that I forgot to actually do something, and the woman who carried me, birthed me, wiped my tushy and tolerated my fresh mouth will get a lame grocery-store card three days late. Or worse yet , just an apologetic phone call.
But I have discovered an easy way to make myself look like a grateful child: I just logged onto JWI’s Mother’s Day Flower Project and set everything up for a timely delivery to my wonderful, deserving mother in just a few clicks.
For each $25 donation, JWI will send an honoree a perfectly-timed gorgeous card by Israeli artist Betty Rubinstein – as well as send a beautiful bouquet of flowers to one of 150 battered women’s shelter’s around the country. Add more of your favorite mamas to your donation and put smiles on so many faces!
So now I’ve planned ahead and put something towards the feminist principle of women helping other women. That’s the kind of multi-tasking my mother can be proud of!
Don’t settle for Hallmark – give today!
